OWERRI-WEST COUNCIL HQS UMUGUMA AGOG AS THE CHIKADIBIA OKPE-LED APC LGA EXCO CAME CALLING.
--They came to pay IKEOHA a thank you visit.

It was a joyous and convivial atmosphere at the Owerri-west Council headquarters, Umuguma, as the Council Execute Chairman, Hon Chief Victor Nnamdi Osigwe, Ikeoha, Jp, received in Council the newly sworn-in APC LGA Exco led by its Chairman Hon Chika Okpe.
According to one of the Executive Chairman's Media Aide, Hon Kelly Onyeka, the visiting APC LGA Executives were carried away by the spate of infrastructural development at the Council that they decided to first visit the Legislative Council Chambers construction site where intensive work was going on.
According to Hon Kelly Onyeka, " the LGA Party Chairman decided to lead his Excos to the site because they wanted to see things for themselves".
At the site, they met the Supervisor for Works, Hon.Engr.Evang. Iyke Odunze on ground who drilled them on the goings on.
Speaking, an elated Hon Chika Okpe commended the Executive Chairman, Hon Osigwe, for changing the face of the Council since the inception of his administration. He also commended Hon Odunze for his efforts.
At the Executive Chairman's office, IKEOHA was very delighted seeing them come around.
He took out time to tell the newly Elected LGA Party Executives how had the Council had fared since he came on board especially in the area of infrastructure and Staff welfare.
Hon Osigwe then caught their fancy when he announced that his administration would with immediate effect, place ALL LGA PARTY ExCOS on monthly stipend.
In his speech earlier, Hon Chika Okpe had told IKEOHA that they came to thank him as regards the Party's smooth congress and described him as primus inter pares.
He said his EXCO would also call on other Party leaders in the area with a view to bringing all on the same page and later pledged that his EXCO would synergize with him and others to move Owerri-west forward politically.
It would be recalled that Ikeoha who was paying only the statutory immediate past APC LGA EXCO has now decided to pay ALL LGA Exco members this time around which now shoots the nominal strength from 170 to 200.
Some IKEOHA appointees were present at the forum amongst them the SECLOG Hon Dr Fidel Onyeneke, Hon Prince Chibueze Oparanozie(Chief of Protocol), Hon Emeka Okere( SA Party Affairs) and Hon Kelly Onyeka(SA Media).
