WE ARE POISED TO BUILD A HOUSE FOR GOD--Dr Jojo Onwukwe.

It was praise and worship last Sunday as christian faithful converged on St Marks Anglican Chapel, Umunomo, Orogwe Archdeaconry, Diocese of Owerri for a fund raising ceremony.
The one hundred and fifty million naira fund raising service was for the purchase of land, building of church and Parsonage at St Mark's Anglican Chapel, Umunomo, Orogwe.
Speaking after the Church service proper, the Convener of the programme, Dr Jojo Onwukwe said the Chapel was desirous to erect a befitting place of worship for God.
He thanked the invitees for honouring the Chapel's invitation and assured that money realized would be judiciously used.
The Archdeacon in charge of the Archdeaconry, Venerable Jonah Nwebo, charged the congregation to raise to the occasion assuring that the parent church( St Mark's Anglican church, Orogwe)would stand behind all Chapels in the Archdeaconry striving to erect befitting places of worship.
He then commended the Priest in charge of the Chapel, Rev Chibuzo Ezeanyika, for his efforts.
In his sermon earlier, the guest Preacher at the service, Rev Chisomaga Anyasodo encouraged the congregation to gear up for the task ahead, which according to him, would involve a little sacrifice.
The Chairman of the LOC, Mr Christopher Ononogbo and the Secretary, Dr Erasmus Duru, expressed optimism that the Committee would hit the ground running in no distant time.
Some of the attendees at the service included the Chairman of the occasion/ Chief Launcher Engr Andy Agomuo, the Special Guest of Honour Engineer Kachi Elezieanya, Barr Sir CJ Ihemedu, Hon Obinna Nzimako, Rev Canon Chuka Opara and Elder Emma Ejiogu.
Others were Chief Vincent Chibundu, Hon Ndudi Duru, Hon Ben Chikezie, Chief Silas Chikezie and Ezinne Chief Mrs Josephine Enwerem.
