VICTOR OSIGWE GIVES PRIMARY EDUCATION A BOOST IN OWERRI-WEST.
--Commences distribution of educational materials.

In tandem with the State government's "Back to School" initiative, the Executive Chairman of Owerri West LGA Hon. Victor Osigwe(Ikeoha), has commenced the distribution of educational materials to Primary schools across the LGA.
In a handing over ceremony, to flag off the exercise, at the Council headquarters Umuguma, the Executive Chairman represented by the Seclog, Chief Dr Fidel Onyeneke, restated that Governor Uzodimma's-led administration was committed to promoting quality education and improving learning conditions for pupils across the State.
He emphasized the place of education in the laying of a brighter foundation for the future and urged School Heads to be at the vanguard.
Turning to the Pupils, Hon Osigwe urged them to remain focused, disciplined and committed to their studies while making effective use of the materials given them.
Speaking, too, at the forum, the Education Secretary, Owerri West LGA, Lady Ugboaku Nnadi commended the Governor for the initiative, describing it as a strategic intervention that would positively impact teaching and learning across schools in the LGA.
In his remarks, the Supervisor for Education, Hon.Victor Izuwa lauded the initiative assuring proper supervision and equitable distribution of the items.
Also speaking, the Chairman, Owerri West SBMC, Mr.Livinus Ozoemena , appreciated the Governor’s continued support for education describing the initiative as timely and impactful, adding that it would enhance pupils’ academic performance and motivate them to take their studies seriously.
The materials distributed included exercise books , School bags , Sandals amongst other writing materials.
