ISIEC BOSS COMMENDS VICTOR OSIGWE. ---Describes him as the Governor's representative at the Council level.

The Chairman of the Imo State Independent Electoral Commission(ISIEC) Chief Charles Ejiogu has commended the Executive Chairman of Owerri-west LGA, Hon Chief Victor Nnamdi Osigwe, IKEOHA, for transforming the Owerri-west LGA making it a lead Council in the State.
Chief Ejiogu made the remarks last Tuesday (16/6/26) at Umuguma during an ISIEC facility tour of the LGA.
An obviously satisfied Chief Ejiogu while still making his observations after the tour described his host as a good representative of Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma at the LGA level.
Chief Ejiogu who said the ISIEC team was at the Council to ascertain their Area office's readiness for the next Council election in the State profoundly thanked the Executive Chairman for personally taking his team round the ISIEC office in the Council adding that they saw a completely transformed Council.
The ISIEC Boss also commended the cordially working relationship between the Executive and legislative arms of the Council pointing out that the physical presence of the Leader of the Council, Hon.Olekaibe and the Councilor representing Ihiagwa Ward 6, Hon.Mrs Joy Moses, confirmed his assertion.
In his response, an elated Chief Victor Osigwe(Ikeoha), thanked the ISIEC Chairman,Chief Ejiogu and his team for the tour.
He used the opportunity to commend the commission for the successful conduct of the last Council election in the state which brought on board his people-oriented administration in Owerri West LGA Council and expressed optimism that ISIEC would record greater success in subsequent elections.
Ikeoha who attributed his administration's unimaginable achievements in less than two years, to his wealth of experience in Council administration, said that was an edge he has over so many of his counterparts having served as an elected Councilor, TC Chairman, SOLAD, and now an elected Executive Chairman.
IKEOHA opined that ordinarily, a 2-year tenure may not give any administration time to do much in the local government administration then suggested that something be done in the area of tenure of office for Council elected officials.
He assured his visitors that his administration will continue to support the ISIEC area office in Owerri West LGA, describing ISIEC as "our own" and as such deserves every necessary assistance that would make her perform her constitutional functions optimally.
