IKEOHA OWERRI WEST RECEIVES TINUBU TORCH BEARERS, HANDS OVER TORCH TO THEM.

Precisely, on 18/8/26 at the headquarters, Umuguma, the Executive Chairman Owerri West LGA, Hon Victor Osigwe, Jp (Ikeoha) received a delegation of the Tinubu Torchbearers (TTB).
The TTB is a political mobilisation group launched by the Nigeria First lady; Senator Oluremi Tinubu aimed at strengthening grassroot support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election bid in 2027.
Introducing the group to the Council Chief Executive, the State Coordinator, Hon Florence Ukwuegbu described the TTB as a movement anchored on service, patriotism and collective responsibility, stressing that women remain central and important to grassroots mobilisation in politics.
She expressed the preparedness of the women to use their torch to outshine the dark spots in their localities.
The State Officer of the group, Amb. Mrs Euphemia Azuokwu congratulated the leadership and members of the Owerri west Tinubu Torchbearers on their inauguration and expressed confidence that the structure would play a significant role in advancing the ideals of good governance, inclusive development and national unity.
In his response, Hon Victor Osigwe, Jp, urged the women to take the lead in promoting the Renewed Hope administration’s achievements and spread the gospel in their communities.
According to Osigwe, “Women are the heartbeat of our communities and i charge every Tinubu Torchbearer to tell our story clearly, respectfully and relentlessly”,
Highlight on the occasion was handing over of the Torch to the Owerri West Coordinator, Mrs Patience Anokwuru by the Council Chief Executive.
Present on the occasion were, Hon Oliver Emenyonu(Super SA Special duties), Prince Chibueze Oparanozie(SA Protocols),some State Exco members of TTB; Chief Okechukwu Nkiruka(Owerri Zone Coordinator), Mrs Ruth Umah, (Deputy Cord Owerri Zone) amongst others.
