WHY IKEOHA MUST RETURN

By Innocent Osuoha

Owerri-west must remember, we cannot deny,
Ikeoha planted peace in many Communities. Peace like waters flowed,
Hon Chief Victor Osigwe cleared refuse heaps that blocked the roads,
Where darkness reigned, he brought light to the eye.

He did not sit in office far and cold,
IKEOHA walked with us, people's strength so bold,
He heard the farmer, the youth, the mother's plea,
And gave us work, gave us pride to be free.

So why should such a light be turned away?
Why stop a river that still must find its way?
For service done, and service yet to come,
We yearn, we beg — let IKEOHA return!
