--As he inaugurates Monitoring Committee..
The Executive Chairman, Owerri West LGA, Hon Chief Victor Nnamdi Osigwe, IKEOHA, Jp, has inaugurated a 9 Member Committee saddled with the responsibility of Monitoring and evaluating all LGA projects.
The Committee which has Chief Dr Fidel Onyeneke, Ksc, as Chairman and Hon Oliver Emenyeonu as Secretary was charged to swing into action immediately.
The LGA HOD Works, Supervisor for Works, the Woman PG of all PG's are members.
Other members are the PG of all PG's, Coordinator Youth, Owerri-west APC Party Chairman and the Commander Owerri West Vigilantee.
Inaugurating the Committee, IKEOHA challenged them to monitor the use of the 4 million Naira given to each Councillor for the rehabilitation of rural roads, especially as it concerned standards and sustainability.
He also urged the Committee to identify and ascertain the level of problems associated with the execution of such projects, if any.
They are equally to identify other projects funded by the Imo State government through the Councillors and ensure that such projects were carried out in line with approved standards and specifications.
The Council boss then reaffirmed his administration's commitment to ensuring that projects embarked upon by the Local government impacted the lives of constituents, stressing that monitoring and evaluation were critical to maintaining quality service delivery in the LGA.
In his brief remarks on behalf of the Committee, Chief Dr Onyeneke who is also the Council's SECLOG thanked the Executive Chairman for finding them worthy to serve in that capacity assuring they would deliver.
