HAPPY MOTHERING SUNDAY TO ALL MOTHERS IN DIOCESE ON THE LAKE.

Come 15/3/26, all over the Christendom, especially in the Anglican Communion, the month of March is fraught with activities prominent amongst them, the Mothering Sunday.
Though not universally binding, before the Mothering Sunday proper, Churches usually do " pre- Mothering Sunday service. At this particular service, there are no hard and fast rules as regards events at the service.
One common denomination is the usual church service and other side attractions the particular women in church may introduce to make them fully armed for the Mothering Sunday proper.
Here in the Diocese On The Lake, we congratulate our number one Mother, God's own Vessel, Mrs Ijeoma Patricia Oti, Jp,(Mama On The Lake).
Mummy, we say. " *happy* *2026* *Mothering* *Sunday* ."
Back home, in my base, the Emmanuel Anglican church, Izombe, the Mothering Sunday is envisioned to take a step further than the previous outings. This could be because of the Lady at the helm of affairs, Lady Favour Durugo and her Assistant Mrs Meg Nnanna.
This duo brought in innovations that made some differences. For instance, there was this ever football match between members of the Women Guild and the Mothers Union. Don't just worry about the scores. Both teams won each other.
Earlier, a fortnight ago, the Vicar's wife, Mrs Chinyere Arizie had thanked the women for their performances at the pre- Mothering Sunday and expressed anticipation that the real Mothering Sunday which holds on 15th March, 2026 would certainly be a success.
Even Mrs Constance Osuoha and Mrs Oluchi Ogbonna are already set for the Sunday.
They also commended Lady Durugo for adding colouration to the 2026 Emmanuel Anglican Church, Izombe, Mothering Sunday.
