BE DILIGENT IN THE EXERCISE OF YOUR DUTIES--IKEOHA TELLS VIGILANTE PERSONNEL.

Pursuant to the 3R mantra of Governor Hope Uzodinma's administration part of which is internal security of the citizenry, the State government has been distributing " work materials" to the Vigilante personnel in the LGAs.
Today, 18/3/26, the Executive Chairman of Owerri-West, Hon Chief Victor Nnamdi Osigwe, IKEOHA, supervised the distribution of some " work materials" to the Vigilante personnel at the Council headquarters, Umuguma.
On ground at the distribution venue were the three DPOs in the Area, CSP Charles Ikemere(Nekede), CSP Nnachetam Chukwudi(Umuguma) and SP Godwin Victor(Ihiagwa)
Also on ground were the revered traditional rulers of Owerri West, PGs of the Town Unions, Councilors, Political Appointees of the Council, Stakeholders as well as the Vigilante personnel from the 21 autonomous Communities who appeared in their combat regalia.
The benefitting autonomous Communities, as moderated by Dr Sir Fidel Onyeneke( SECLOG) were Umuguma, Obinze, Umuanunu, Okuku, Oforola and Olaukwu.
Others were Ihiagwa ancient Kingdom, Dindi, Nekede ancient Kingdom, Umudibia, Umuoma, Eziobodo and Umuokpo.
In the list also were Emeabiam, Okolochi, Eziokele, Irete, Umunwoha, Amakohia-Ubi and Ohii. However, the Avu autonomous Community's consignment was kept on hold because two gentlemen came up as PGs when it was their turn to take delivery. They were later asked to go and keep their House in order so as to take their consignment.
Speaking, the Owerri-west Chief Executive, Hon Chief Victor Nnamdi Osigwe, IKEOHA, admonished the Vigilante personnel to be diligent in the course of discharging their security responsibilities.
Osigwe warned that his administration would not take kindly to any Personnel who abuses the privilege of adorning the Vigilante uniform.
He then paid glowing tributes to the Governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma, for his dexterity in administration especially in the area of security.
It would be recalled that IKEOHA had earlier sponsored the Vigilante personnel to a training programme at the Police College, Nekede.
Earlier this year too, he mobilized the Council Security Personnel and not long ago he delivered motorcycles to the autonomous Communities from the State government for security duties.
