IMO SWAN FELICITATES WITH GEORGE ALUO.
The Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Imo State Chapter, has congratulated veteran sports journalist and former Nigeria National League (NNL) Chairman, Chief George Aluo, on his appointment as Media Consultant to the office of the Senior Special Assistant to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Grassroots Sports Development, Hon. Adeyinka Anthony Adeboye.
A statement signed by the Chairman Mr Cosmos Chukwuemeka and Secretary Mr Anthony Ahize, described the appointment as well-deserved, noting that Chief Aluo’s wealth of experience in sports journalism, administration and football development has distinguished him as a credible professional in the Nigerian sports industry.
According to the statement, Aluo’s track record of purposeful administration, particularly during his time as NNL Chairman, coupled with his over three decades of experience in the media and sports sector, made him eminently qualified for the new responsibility.
Part of the statement reads, "On behalf of Imo SWAN, we warmly congratulate Chief George Aluo on this well-deserved appointment. His wealth of experience, professionalism and proven record in sports administration speak volumes about his capacity to contribute meaningfully to the grassroots sports development agenda.

The Body then wished Chief George Aluo a successful duration of service and looks forward to his continued contributions to the growth and development of sports in Nigeria.
