AS LADY HON GLADYS OGBONNA BOWS OUT OF SERVICE.

It was all encomiums last Tuesday(21/4/26) at the Owerri-west Council headquarters, Umuguma, as colleagues and friends converged to bid Lady Hon Gladys Ogbonna farewell on her retirement at 60 on the dot.
Lady Ogbonna who joined the civil service twenty years ago as a Staff Nurse midwife retired as a Chief Nursing Officer.
Speaking on the occasion, the Owerri-west LGA Executive Chairman, Hon Chief Victor Nnamdi Osigwe, IKEOHA, said he came to partake in the success story because of the celebrant whom he described as hard working and jovial adding that he was happy the retiree was bowing out in good health and thanked God for her.
Ikeoha affirmed that Lady Ogbonna added value to the Council's health department and urged her to kindly oblige whenever called upon for assistance.
Many colleagues of the retiree who spoke regretted they would miss her because of her diligence, fearlessness and motherly roles.
In her remarks, the retiree, Lady Hon Gladys Ogbonna thanked God for everything pointing out the programme at the moment was "rolling out" of service as the main thanksgiving was yet to come.
She said the occasion was also her birthday and appreciated God by reading Psalm 150 both in English and Igbo.
She testified how she battled kidney stone and advised her audience to always approach issues on their way with caution.
There was a church service during which Venerable Engr EC Olewuezi of Holy Trinity Church, Nekede ministered.
Later, the celebrant cut her sixtieth birthday cake to the delight of the audience.
